Rev. Keith Caldwell
Pastor
Rev. Keith Caldwell is a Nashville native. He attended The American Baptist College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology. He later earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Vanderbilt University Divinity School.
He first became actively engaged politically through labor union organizing as a union steward with SEIU Local 205, Labor Union. He went on to become a grassroots community organizer with the Nashville Peace and Justice Center, where he later became the executive director.
In 2005, he co-founded Urban EpiCenter, an African-American organization that was formed in order to address the glaring injustices of Systemic Racism. The organization's mission focused on doing justly at the intersection of Race and Poverty.
Rev. Caldwell is the former president of the Nashville Branch NAACP, serves as a board member for the Scarritt Bennett Center, and is on the Executive Board of the IMF (Interdenominational Ministerial Fellowship). He is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and is the pastor of the Historic Seay-Hubbard (UMC) Church in South Nashville.
He is also the proud father of four adult children.
